Junior Marketing Strategist - Political

NGP VAN is looking for a passionate, political communicator to join the Marketing & Community team. You will lead the charge in attracting site traffic and expanding our digital footprint by creating high-quality downloadable content and blog posts, generating leads through strategic nurturing campaigns, and develop partnerships with campaigns and organizations. 

This role requires a passion for politics, a high level of creativity, ability to take on a variety of tasks, attention to detail, and project management skills.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage a content/editorial calendar with the objective of attracting qualified leads to NGP VAN owned properties (e.g. blog posts, content offers, webinars, etc)
  • Assist in optimizing our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through social, content, email, and more.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with political consultants and progressive organizations 
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other key stakeholders in producing relevant content that meets the need of our audience
  • Willingness and interest in attending networking events
  • Experience and interest in engaging in direct outreach to political clients and prospective clients

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least one cycle of political organizing, digital, or communications experience with a campaign or national political organization required
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Hubspot CMS, Salesforce CRM, a huge plus
  • Proficiency in content creation, SEO optimization, and producing blog posts to generate traffic, convert visitors into leads, and then nurture them into customers
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills, with an ability to use data to inform decisions
