Marketing Strategist

Are you an experienced digital marketer that is detail-oriented, has an eye for great design, and displays a creative flair and ability to bring distinct event experiences to life? If you are, then we’d love to speak with you!

NGP VAN + EveryAction is looking for a Marketing Strategist to join our team in Washington, D.C. As a member of the Marketing & Community team, you will work across both brands, helping build out our digital marketing campaigns, including curating events strategy, creating sales enablement resources, and assisting with product launches. This person should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, including cross functionally with other teams.

Design & Creative (60%)

  • Serve as primary designer of marketing collateral - including one pagers, social media graphics, product videos, blog images, and slide decks
  • Help bring fresh, new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design

Events & Partnerships (40%)

  • Willingness and interest in attending networking events
  • Experience and interest in engaging in direct outreach to clients and prospective clients
  • Devise an engaging and compelling vision for NGP VAN and EveryAction’s presence at major conferences and hosted events, including creating landing pages, drafting email copy, creating specifically targeted lists to identify top prospects, and driving promotion through multiple channels
  • Execute events from kickoff to completion, including coordination of resources, meetings, and feedback while diligently working to ensure all projects are on track, on time, and within budget
  • Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders both internal (e.g. leadership team) and external (e.g. vendors) to determine requirements and hit deadlines
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote events and drive attendees
  • Measure and report on event performance

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Past experience as an in-house designer or at a marketing agency. (Note: we require work samples to qualify for this position.)
  • Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Sketch
  • Video, photography, and/or animation experience a huge plus
  • Hubspot CMS, Salesforce CRM, and social media tools knowledge a plus
  • Solid experience with event planning, management, and sponsorships, including working with vendors and event coordinators for on-site collateral
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform decisions
