Enterprise Account Executive, Nonprofit Major Markets (Strategic Sales)

Do you live and breathe SaaS (software as a service) sales?  Do you love to be on the cutting edge of complex and evolving use cases?  Are you someone who enjoys helping clients ‘put square pegs in round holes’ and thrives in a complex selling environment? Do you want to be the driving force of sales into some of our newest markets?  If so, we’d love to talk to you about joining EveryAction.

EveryAction is looking for a highly motivated self-starter to join our team as an Enterprise Account Executive.  In this role you will be responsible for the full sales cycle of prospects falling into a “hybrid” client group.  These are primarily enterprise nonprofits and international political groups utilizing multiple different tools.

You’ll develop a strong base knowledge of all of our company’s products (ActionKit, VAN, and EveryAction CRM) and be able to identify what combination of solutions is the best fit for the prospect.  Technical experts from each product line are available to assist throughout the sale but you will be responsible for driving the sales process, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring a smooth contracting process.

We’re a successful, growing company of over 300 people based in Washington, D.C. and Boston, MA.  We’ve been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in America by Inc. Magazine for the past ten years in a row and one of the top 50 fastest growing companies in the DC area by both the Washington Business Journal and SmartCEO.

Day to Day:

As an Enterprise Account Executive you will be based in our DC office (though Boston, New York City, and remote could be considered) and report to the VP of Sales while also working closely with EveryAction’s Corp Dev team.

For the first 3 months you will primarily be reaching out to existing enterprise clients who are using an EveryAction product for one system and other companies’ products for the rest – in many cases these clients may not even know we have a solution to replace one of their other systems.

  • 6-8 years of sales experience, preferably in a sales role at a company with technology products. Strong preference for Enterprise or Major Market sales experience
  • A strong understanding of the nonprofit and/or political technology market
  • Background in SaaS sales preferred, but applicants with other tech or nonprofit sales experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated ability of growing a pipeline in a new market.
  • You are comfortable creating new relationships outside of our current client network – i.e. following up on leads, completing RFP’s, representing the company at conferences, etc.
  • Client focused and highly organized.  You genuinely enjoy answering questions in a team oriented environment
  • A passion for problem solving, project management, logistics, best practices, and data-driven decision-making
  • Willing to be flexible and adopt within a growing company and changing environment.
  • Previous experience with CRMs is a plus, experience with our company’s products like ActionKit and VAN are an even bigger plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

At EveryAction, you will enjoy a progressive and open-minded workplace where we have:

  • A fun and relaxed company culture, including enjoying periodic company retreats to warm places with beaches
  • Casual Friday every day
  • An unusually generous set of benefits, including up to 12 weeks paid parental leave, profit sharing, 100% premium-paid health/dental, and an ongoing education allowance
