Content Strategist - Marketing

NGP VAN + EveryAction is looking for a creative and talented content writer to join the Marketing team. You will lead the charge in attracting site traffic and expanding our digital footprint by creating high-quality downloadable content and blog posts regularly. This role requires a high level of creativity, ability to take on a variety of tasks, and attention to detail.

What you will do:

  • Manage a content/editorial calendar with the objective of attracting qualified leads to EveryAction's owned properties (e.g. blog posts, content offers, webinars, etc)
  • Create 1-2 resources every month to drive leads, subscribers, marketing qualified leads (MQLs), and other important metrics (e.g ebooks, research papers, guides, templates, etc.)
  • Blog on an ongoing basis (pitch and produce 1-2 blog posts a week) to support and promote offers and to attract site visitors through search, social media, email subscribers, etc.
  • Grow our subscriber base by providing them with regular, helpful content that’s aligned with their needs and interests
  • Collaborate with in-house designers, product marketers, sales associates, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience
  • Regularly pitch the team on creative ideas that are worth investing time and effort in. This role is the creative core of the marketing and sales teams, and others will rely on your work regularly.



  • BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience
  • Some past experience in marketing and/or nonprofits preferred
  • Past experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  • EveryAction/NGP VAN CRM, Hubspot CMS, Salesforce CRM, and social media tools knowledge a huge plus
  • A proven track record of producing blog posts to generate traffic, convert visitors into leads, and then nurture them into customers
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform decisions
