Advocacy and Communications Sales Engineer

Day to Day: 

As a Sales Engineer for EveryAction Advocacy and Communications solutions, you’ll serve as the go to resource for the EveryAction Customer Success and Sales teams. This includes participation in product demonstrations for current and prospective clients, a deep understanding of the tools available and how they can best fit into a client’s workflow, identifying areas of opportunity for the available solutions, training Customer Success and Sales on advanced features and new product releases, as well as working across internal departments to ensure that clients are set up for success in all phases of a client lifecycle- pre and post- sale. This role will also be responsible for managing product level sales goals and will be working closely with the CS and Sales teams to ensure those goals are being met through new sales, upsells and Cross Sells.


  • 5 - 15 years of experience working with Saas Platforms in a granular product focused capacity
  • A background in the day-to-day work of using technology to achieve fundraising, advocacy & communications, organizing goals is a big plus but is not required
  • Experience with EveryAction or NGP VAN products, including ActionKit and BSD Tools, is highly preferred. Experience with other CRMs such as Luminate Online, ROI, Engaging Networks, Salsa, Salesforce, and Raiser’s Edge is also highly valued.
  • You understand how to help generate sales pipelines and have a proven track record of successfully influencing pipeline to revenue conversions- and achieving product level revenue goals
  • You’re a self-starter who is excited to identify places where you can jump in and drive results. When you notice something that could be improved, you start exploring possible solutions. When you don’t know an answer, you go find it.
  • Agility – You’re able to pivot quickly and prioritize tasks with varying levels of importance to meet expectations without dropping the ball. Sometimes you’ll be working on long-term projects and sometimes you’ll be putting out fires, so staying flexible and organized is key.
  • An excellent conversationalist. Much like the ability to switch between tasks, this role requires a team-player who can galvanize internal stakeholders. You’re equally comfortable presenting to a major prospective client and translating product-speak for a non-technical person.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills; particularly the ability to craft effective proposals and presentations.
  • A team player who can adapt within a growing company and changing environment.
